Locker Clean Out

Dear Students,


On Monday (June 29) and Tuesday (June 30), St. Charles North will host one last opportunity for you to access your hallway and PE lockers before they are cleaned out for the year. If you were unable to come in during the Material Drop-Off days in May and early June, you can now call to schedule a fifteen minute time to come in and clean out your locker(s). Items not picked up after this time will be donated to charity.


Dates:

Monday, June 29 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Tuesday, June 30 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM


If you have materials to pick up and you cannot make these designated times, please call the Main Office to let us know. We will follow up with you to coordinate other arrangements. Please follow these instructions when setting up your appointment time:


Call the Main Office number 331-228-4400 and leave a message (before 9:30 AM on the day you plan to come in) with the following information:

  1. The name and ID number of the student or students who need to access their locker

  2. The date and the time they plan to arrive (please select a time in 15-minute increments- i.e. 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, or 10:45)


Please do not come to the school if you are exhibiting symptoms of illness. You can call the Main Office and we can set up alternate arrangements for your belongings.


When you arrive for your appointment, please follow these instructions:

  1. Arrive on time and check-in at the Main Entrance (Door 4)

  2. Wear a face covering (we cannot allow anyone in the building without one)

  3. Have a bag to hold your belongings

  4. Plan to do this work inside of the building alone - groups of people will not be allowed to travel together


After you check-in, someone will go with you as you travel within the building. When you are done, you can exit the building through either Door 1 (Athletics) or Door 4 (Main Entrance).


People without appointments will not be admitted. Please call ahead to ensure we can accommodate you. If popular times arise, we may call you back to adjust your arrival.


Access to classrooms will not be given during this time. If you are a senior who has graduated and still need to pick something up in a classroom, please call the Main Office to make arrangements. A box will be outside the Main Entrance for people who need to return school property.

News from the Nurse

The State of Illinois and State Board of Education have not issued any changes in the school health requirements for the upcoming school year and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) strongly supports the continued provision of health care for children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This care includes well-child care (school exams), preventative care, screenings, and vaccinations. Thus, students entering school in D303 for the first time (early childhood, kindergarten, or first grades); students entering kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades; twelfth grade students requiring a meningococcal vaccine and transfer students must submit evidence of a physical examination and/or a complete record of immunizations in order to start school.


Parents/Guardians who have not already done so should reach out to their health care provider to schedule their child's mandated physical examination and immunizations. Completed exams and immunizations may be mailed to your child's school, in care of the school nurse or they may be dropped off at your child's school (please check with your student's school main office regarding office hours before dropping off forms). District 303 has a first-day exclusion policy with regard to health requirements so students who do not meet the health requirements mandated by the State of Illinois, will not be permitted to attend school until such time that they are compliant. If your child has a scheduled appointment to receive vaccines after the first day of school, a physician note indicating the date and time of your child's appointment must be submitted to the school prior to the first day.


Physical Examinations:


  • The completed physical examination and record of immunization form is expected at the school health office by the first day of student attendance.
  • Physical examinations must be done by a licensed physician, advanced practice nurse or examining physician assistant.
  • Physical examinations must be dated within twelve months prior to the first day of school.
  • Only the State of Illinois Department of Human Services Certificate of Child Health Examination form will be accepted.
  • Medical objections to any physical examination or immunization must be submitted in writing by a physician and must contain the required information.
  • Religious objections to any physical examination or immunization must be submitted by a parent/guardian in writing and must contain the required information. Click here for the religious objection form.


Immunization Requirements:

Immunization records must show proof of immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, and chickenpox.

  • Sixth through twelfth grades are required to have the Tdap vaccine.
  • Sixth and twelfth grades are required to have the meningococcal vaccine.


Please make a copy of your child's health records before releasing them to the school.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION SITES & ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

District 303 grab and go meal service will operate on Mondays and Thursdays only. Students will receive three meals on Mondays and two meals on Thursdays. Please refer to the list below for specific locations and times of service.


Thompson Middle School, 705 W. Main Street

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Monday and Thursday


Anderson Elementary School, 35W071 Villa Marie Rd.

9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Monday and Thursday


Wasco Elementary School, 4N782 School Street, Wasco

10:00 - 10:45 a.m. - Monday and Thursday

A District 303 bus will deliver meals to the front of the school.


Cumberland Green Cooperative (1798 Cumberland Green-Office Lot near court #1)

11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Monday and Thursday

A District bus will deliver meals to the office parking lot at 1798 Cumberland.


Prairie Point Apartments, 1820 Wessel Court

10:00 - 10:30 a.m.- Monday and Thursday

A District 303 bus will deliver meals to the park facing the road at the front entrance (Entrance nearest to Randall Road).


The Crossings, 1690 Covington

10:40 - 11:10 a.m. - Monday and Thursday.

A District 303 bus will deliver meals to the area near the clubhouse.


St. Charles Place, 15th Street and Indiana

11:20 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Monday and Thursday

A District 303 bus will deliver meals to an area in front of the apartment complex.
