4-H Poultry, Rabbit, Cavy Meeting – April 2nd, Central Office, 6:30pm
LIVESTOCK ID TAG NOTICE
- 2 types of tags: County Only ($2.50, orange) and State/AKSARBEN Included ($3.00, white EID)
- Families will pay for DNA Envelopes online when registering. DO NOT pay for them at the Extension office.
- All tags MUST be in place (in animal) by the June 15 enrollment deadline. Be aware of this requirement to avoid disqualifications.
- Sarpy Office does not accept cash, only checks.
LIVESTOCK ID DEADLINES
Horse Project: ID sheets are due by May 6th
District Horse and State Horse Show entries are due to either office by May 6th. (HARD DEADLINE)
Beef, Sheep, Goat, Swine and Rabbit Projects: ID sheet completed and returned by June 15th.

REMEMBER! All youth working with livestock animals MUST complete YQCA training & certification to be eligible for current 4-H year.

Clover Kid Resources
Clover Kids is the officially recognized program in Nebraska for children under the age of 8. The program is designed to provide 5 to 7 year-olds a variety of educational and recreational experiences in a non-competitive environment. Clover Kids provide an excellent opportunity for youth to achieve his/her highest potential because early life experiences affect future development. 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Program
Do you know a 4-H Shooting Sports youth who would be a great spokesperson for the Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports program? The 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Application is open and is for 14-18 year olds who have been enrolled in the project area at least one year. The teen will need a recommendation from a 4-H staff person in their county.

Horse Judging School
This school is for horse show judges, aspiring judges, judging team coaches, and youth! We will have classroom demonstrations as well as live classes to judge.

- Topics include: Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, and Speed Events

This Advancement Level Workshop is geared towards helping Adults, Extension personnel, Volunteers, and leaders have a better understanding
and knowledge to work with the youth in their area to pass their advancement levels.
- The workshop will be held on Sunday, March 8th, 2020 at the Animal Science Complex.
- Topics include: advanced riding maneuvers, feed charts, nutrition, first aid, and much more!

This Advancement Level Workshop is geared towards 4-Hers that have passed their Level 2 and want to move on to levels 3 & 4. During the workshop we will help youth prepare their feed chart, health chart and learn how to work with their horse to prepare for performing advanced maneuvers required to pass their level 3 and/or 4.
