Bowling Fun
Good day Bobcats.
I am inviting parents and students who would like to stay after school on Dec. 15th and bowl for a short while in the Gym. This will last from 2:45pm until 3:30pm. All Bethany students have been working on their bowling technique for the past few weeks. Be great to see a good turnout. Have a wonderful day.

Winter Reading Challenge
Winter Reading Challenge
at the Cedar Mill and Bethany Libraries
Join us for an all-ages Winter Reading challenge December 1-December 31. Help our community by reading and getting involved with the library this winter! Everyone can participate, including being read to.
Pick up a paper log (PDF) at the library, log into our Beanstack app, or log online at librarycedarmill.beanstack.com.
Read and do activities on the bingo card. Complete a row, column or diagonal to get a bingo, or complete all squares for a blackout.
Return paper bingo cards to the library by December 31. Every hour read equals a 10 cent donation and every activity completed equals a 25 cent donation to the Oregon Food Bank up to $1,000.
Holiday Light Recycling
If you put up Holiday lights, did you find lights that no longer work? (Indoor or Outdoor)
Drop off your broken / old holiday lights and the Green Team will recycle them. There is a box in front of the main doors to collect them.
PTO Parent and Teacher Survey
We have 126 responses to our survey so far - thank you! If you haven't taken the survey yet, we hope you will, before next Thursday, Dec. 15th. The responses will help guide our spending priorities for the year to come! Your entry will also give you the chance to win a $25 gift card!

Student Support Fund
Overdue Library Books
We need your help! We have a LOT of overdue and missing library books from last year (and this year too). Ms. Hussain will be sending out overdue notices with the list of titles that your child(ren) have checked out.
PLEASE look around your homes, cars, Grandma's house, or anywhere a book may be hiding! 🙂 The books that have been marked as "lost" have fines attached. If this is a hardship for your family, please reach out to Ms. Hussain or Mr. Parker and we can work with you.
We would much rather have the BOOKS than the money to replace them. Let's see how many we can return before Winter Break! Thank you!!
Immunization Exclusion Day
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please note that Immunization Exclusion Day is FEBRUARY 15, 2023. Your child's immunizations must be up to date by this day. According to Oregon state law, no student will be allowed to attend school if immunizations have not been completed. All absences will be considered unexcused.

Hand Sanitizer Donations
During the last few years the District was providing hand sanitizer for schools. That plan has now stopped and we need to provide our own bottles.
We could use your help. If you are willing to donate a bottle or two (foam preferred), you can bring it to the office.

Leave a Lasting Print at Bethany Elementary!
With each $150 donation your personal message will be etched on a charm and permanently hung on the central fence of Bethany Elementary School Playground. The money raised will go towards funding playground improvements and future PTO projects!
