Back to School Night for Parents/Guardians
Back to School Night officially ends at 8pm. From 8 - 8:30pm there will be an information session for 8th grade parents/guardians in the Learning Commons.
There will be student volunteers and staff available to help guide parents/guardians around the building. The schedule for the evening will look like this:
6:15 – 6:25: Copies of Student Schedules, Bell Schedules, Building Maps available for pick-up in the Cafetorium
6:25: Parents/guardians make their way to Period 1 Classroom/Home Room
6:30 – 6:45: Live Welcome Message (Period 1 Classroom/Home Room)
6:45 – 6:52: Period 1
6:56 – 7:03: Period 2
7:07 – 7:14: Period 3
7:18 – 7:25: Period 4
7:29 – 7:36: Period 5
7:40 – 7:47: Period 6
7:51 – 7:58: Period 7
At Back to School Night, you will also be able to visit with the PTSO, the Parent Engagement Center, and get Parent Portal assistance if you need it.

Your PTSO strives to bring together the parents and guardians of our diverse student body in ways that are both enriching and enjoyable. We invite you to join the PTSO to take advantage of the many educational, cultural, and fundraising events throughout the year.

Bridgewater State University's M.A.R.C. Visits OMS
Alex Trahnstrom, a graduate assistant from MARC, guided the interactive presentations in the cafetorium. The focus of the presentation was identifying and preventing bullying and cyberbullying.
OMS has a longstanding partnership with M.A.R.C. Peer Leaders will be heading to Bridgewater State University soon to spend the day with the M.A.R.C. for peer leadership training that they will be bringing back to their peers at OMS.

This parent presentation is being sponsored by the Stoughton Parent Engagement Center, the Stoughton Youth Commission, and OASIS. No registration is required. For parents/guardians of students in grades 4-12. Childcare for children 5 and up will be provided as needed. Please contact in advance if you need childcare (j_wolff@stoughtonschools.org).
