A Note From The Nurse
The Help a Child Smile dental van will be visiting again before the end of the school year. If you are interested in having your child seen and did not receive a paper form, you can fill one out online at : https://www.myschooldentist.com/
With cold and flu season still among us... just a few friendly reminders....
1.) Students are not to carry any kind of medication on them whatsoever. This includes; over the counter medications such as tylenol, advil, and cough drops. Any medications need to be brought to the clinic and a medication authorization form completed by the parent. These forms are kept in the clinic, but can also be found here: https://www.cowetaschools.net/school-health-b33d9e5f
2.) The nurse does not keep over the counter medications in the clinic. The parent has to provide tylenol, advil, etc. for their student to be kept in the clinic with the authorization form completed.
3.) If a student has had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea; They cannot return to school until they are symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medications to reduce symptoms.
4.) PLEASE make sure that you have an up to date number on file at all times. In case of an emergency or illness, I need to be able to reach someone quickly.
5.) Please notify me if your child has been diagnosed with the flu, regardless if I saw them in the clinic or not. This helps keep up with the data for the county.
Thank you for your understanding! I look forward to continue caring for your child for the rest of the school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school or by email; elizabeth.vinson@cowetaschools.net
