Thirteenth Week of School
On Monday, we had our lock down with intruder drill with commander Molidor from the Round Lake Police Department. We received an excellent grade as he did not hear or see any students while he checked for opened classrooms. All teachers and staff were able to safely shut off all the lights, lock the doors and hide from view. He was impressed how our children took the drill seriously and acted quickly. It is nice to have the support of our local police department.
On behalf of the PTO and I, we would like to announce that we made over $2,000 from the Halloween Party and over $1,000 on the candle fundraiser. These monies will be used to help fund our new playground so our kids will be directly impacted by the generosity of others. Thank you again, for the PTO volunteers, who help to make our school a very special place. We are still on schedule for our playground to be build at the end of next week. Hopefully, the weather will not delay the build too much. Also, thank you to our room parents who made our classroom Halloween Parties so much fun for our students!! Thanksgiving Feast Preparations have begun. Soon we will be sending a letter home describing those details and how you can volunteer to help!
Basketball and cheerleading are underway. Thank you to our coaches for volunteering and for the parents who support the program.
Peace and joy,
Mrs. Rybarczyk
