WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Student Progress:
We are entering week 4 of quarter 3. Progress reports will be available on MyStudent starting Friday, February 9th. Please take a few minutes and review your students’ progress. If you have questions, contact your student’s teachers. If you would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference, contact Ms. Collige at 352-524-5539.
Upcoming Important Date:
On Tuesday, January 30th, we will be having our annual curriculum night. This is the event where we will discuss the course options and the course selection process for the 2024-2025 school year. All incoming 8th grade students along with current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade families are encouraged to attend. There is a flyer in the newsletter this week.
Tutoring:
We have free tutoring each Monday and Wednesday after school in the IRC from 1:45pm-3:45pm. Students can attend and get support in any course that they are currently struggling with. Again, this is FREE. Students must have their own transportation home.
Academic Lunch Opportunity:
Freshmen Academic Lunch is now available Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 15-104 during both lunches. If you have received a yellow fast pass for lunch line #4, then you're invited to attend. If you are interested in academic lunch, and have not received a pass, please see your counselor. We look forward to seeing you there.
Extended School Day:
If your student signed up to be a part of our Extended School Day program, please remember that this program meets on Monday’s and Wednesday’s after school in the IRC. If your student still needs to make up a credit from a previously failed course, they may still join ESD. They just need to see their counselor or administrator.
Early Release Day:
Our next early release day is this Wednesday, February 14th. Students will be released from school at 11:43am.
Seniors:
Seniors, it is extremely important that you are checking for and applying to all available Scholarships. Make it a habit of checking both your CRC Canvas course and Naviance. January 31st is the last day for the Pasco Education Foundation Scholarship application.
Additionally, many local scholarships have been placed on the CRC Canvas course and they have deadlines fast approaching! See Ms. Edwards if you have any questions.
The PHSC admission rep will be on campus Tuesday, January 30th. We will meet in the Ag Building computer lab to complete your application. Signup is on the CRC Canvas Course.
If you haven’t ordered your cap and gown yet, please know that you must order by the end of January if you want to be a part of the first shipment in April. The website to place your order is: herffjoneswestcentral.com
