Viewing Grades in Course History (Middle and High School Only)

To check student grades:

In ParentVue/StudentVue, go to COURSE HISTORY.

Toggle the "Detail" to "ON" in the Student "Course History" area. Scroll down within that section (Courses show in chronological order - so the most recent courses are at the bottom).

**(At this time, course history is not viewable when opening ParentVue/StudentVue on a mobile phone WHEN USING THE APP. Parents ARE able to view grades on a cell phone by opening ParentVue/StudentVue via a web browser. Please email Julie Lane at if you are having challenges with this process.)**

Inclement Weather and Online Learning

Decisions to close school due to inclement weather will continue to be made based on safety and access to learning/school site. While students are all in CDL or enrolled in the WLWV K12 Online Program (WKOP), there is a strong likelihood that school could remain “open” and students can continue learning at home during inclement weather such as snow or ice. When inclement weather includes heavy winds or power outages that affect internet access, there may be a reason to delay or close school depending on the impact and access to online learning.

If the school district closes due to inclement weather, any on-site classes or activities would also be canceled. This includes Limited In-Person Instruction (LII) and co-curricular or evening activities. Any delays or closures will apply to both students in CDL and the WLWV K12 Online Program.

The district will continue to provide communication about the status of school (delay or closure) through FlashAlert and alerts on the district website. We encourage families to sign up for FlashAlert early, and families can always check the district website for the latest information.

Primary Level

Dear Primary Families,

I cannot believe we have just one more week of school before our Winter Break. Soon, if you haven’t already, you will receive your child’s report card in the mail. Please make sure to read the cover letter as it explains our process and the various marks. Report cards are just one way to celebrate the hard work of our students this fall. Together we have learned so much about online learning. Our teachers worked hard to provide valuable learning experiences for our students and will continue to do so next week. Thank you for your partnership in making the first part of our school year so successful!

Next week we will host our Online Community Movie Night on Thursday, Dec. 17 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. With sponsorship from our amazing Willamette Primary PTA connection, we are able to stream the awesome animated movie Abominable for all of our K-5 online families. Thank you, Willamette PTA for this generous gift!

Also, with important information being shared each week from our neighborhoods schools, please make sure to read and/or sign up for your neighborhood school listserv. You can do so by following this link:

Middle Level

There is one week left of school in 2020. Our staff is making every effort to make this last week fun and memorable. But first we need to take care of academics. I invite you to ask students about their courses; what do they like about each course? What are they learning ? Our teachers love to see their beautiful smiles and hear from them.

“I'm really happy with the online program. I love how it pushes me to take notes and study on my own time. This created a visible increase in my already good grades. My B's turned to A's, my A's turned to A+. The readings are short and precise, allowing me to quickly understand what I will be doing in the lesson and I really love it.”- 8th grade student

Counselor’s Corner

Our students have endured so much abrupt and unexpected change in 2020. As we finish 2020, we'd like to provide space where kiddos can play together, online, as much as possible. On Friday, December 18th from 9am-2pm, the Middle Level Online Program will hold a variety of activities for students to engage in. Festive Friday is dedicated to students - truly amazing humans worth celebrating. From creating paper snowflakes to virtual trivia (with Wilsonville and West Linn High swag prizes), to lunchtime karaoke and musical performances by performing arts staff from your student's home school, it is going to be a wonderful way to start winter break. Please remind your student to join their Homeroom class for all the details.

You will see a schedule of activities at the end of this section!

Keeping up with Important High School News

This is just another reminder to make sure you are receiving the newsletter sent through the listserv from your neighborhood high school. There is very important information presented to ALL students in the newsletters that you will want to know about.

As we near winter break, I want to remind students to continue working to finish up their Q1 courses if they have not done so yet. Please reach out to teachers if you have any questions or concerns regarding their work. We are here to support you and your students in any way we can. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you all at parent night!
