ERPD and Pot Luck

Our final ERPD of the 16-17 school will be something a bit different! We will be offering a conference style selection of PD. You will be able to attend any combination of the following:


Chickens in the HOUSE 101-Care and basic

Poultry for Peanuts-Kids and chickens

Biddies and Babies- Little chicks and poultry life cycles

Chickens Handlin' and Wranglin'-Learn to hold and catch and handle poultry

All poultry classes will be taught by master chicken handler, Kelly Shepard


Gardening for the Rest of Us- 'nuff said

Strawberry Fields FOREVER-strawberries in our curriculum

Tikes and Turf-Kids and gardening during the school year

Edible Grass-herbs and back porch greens

All gardening classes will be taught by a master gardener from the Onslow County Exchange


Just Breathe- deep breathing and yoga for classes

Cool, Calm, and Collected-Mindfulness

Yo Kids-moves for kids

Just Because-relaxation and feel good stuff just to make you happy!

All well-being classes will be taught by Dani Marshburn of Infinite Yoga and Wellness.



Here is the schedule:


1:00-1:30

1:35-2:05

2:45-3:15



Mrs. Starling will teach her literacy block from 1-2. You may pick any of the classes you like. A formal class selection will be sent out prior to ERPD.


We will open lunch at 11:30. Lunch will be "Good Food" in honor of ALL our biggest losers! Please bring dishes and desserts that are low-carb, organic, grass-fed, close to the source, local, etc. any or all of these. Provide a recipe card for your dish and it's name. We will have prizes for the best dish in each of the following categories.

Every grade is asked to participate to the best of their ability but no one will ever be excluded from the feast!

Recycling

We need several classes to volunteer to take the recycling out to the canisters.

Student Placement Card Feedback

Please look in our One Note Notebook in the table of contents to locate our proposed student placement cards. Cards will be filled out for use in creating classes for the 17-18 school year. The precise process will be shared at a later date but for now please take a look and let me know if any changes need to be made.

• Develop a plan to address some part of the problem (or the whole problem)

• Decide on a platform to share your project.
