Husky Highlights Newsletter
November 2021
Principal's Message
Fall is here and the positive energy continues to rise in our school community as we build school spirit. Between the Friday "Pink-outs" to raise awareness for breast cancer and wearing red on Wednesday to "Boo Bullying", Tuscarora Huskies continue to build unity and model RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence).
During the month of November, we celebrate Native American Heritage Month and honor the culture, history, and contributions of the Native American peoples. We would like to express a special thanks to America's indigenous peoples in our community for your contributions to our community and our country. For more information about Native American Heritage month, please visit nativeamericanheritagemonth.gov and the National Congress of American Indians.
Please note the school schedule for the first week of November:
- Monday, November 1 - Teacher workday (No school for students)
- Tuesday, November 2 - Election day (school holiday - no school for students)
- Wednesday, November 3 - Asynchronous School Day (students log into Schoology to complete assignments)
- Thursday, November 4 - Student and Staff Holiday (no school for students)
- Friday, November 5 - Asynchronous School Day (students log into Schoology to complete assignments)
As we close out the first quarter and begin our second quarter of school, I encourage students and families to continue to connect with teachers and staff in support of your student's success. First quarter grades are expected to be accessible on StudentVue and ParentVue by 4:00pm on Monday, November 8th.
In this newsletter, you will find much information to keep you connected with upcoming events and important reminders. This newsletter also includes multiple opportunities for students to seek additional help in multiple subject areas. Please connect with classroom teachers, Advisory teachers, school counselors, assistant principals, staff members, or with me. Let us know how we can support you and help your student succeed.
