THE WEEK AHEAD!
Choir/ Guitar
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9,
10:30 a.m. in EXTENDED DAY
Don't forget to bring your guitar for the FREE lesson that takes place during the second half hour, and if it's your first time in attendance, be sure to bring in your registration form, which can be printed here. Please drop off your singers at the Extended Day door (C3). Our choir will be participating in Family Mass on Sunday.
Supper Club
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10,
ALL DAY
Five Guys Munster vouchers came home in the Thursday envelope, last week's church bulletin, or you can print one here. Spread the word by liking, sharing, and inviting your friends via the Facebook event.
HSA Meeting
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11,
7:00 P.m.
Join us as we discuss the success of our Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook Off, and then turn to planning our Trivia Night to take place on November 22. You'll earn volunteer hours for attending the meeting and whatever you sign up to help with. And we NEED more people to start getting involved, or events like these cannot continue. Help us make St. Ann great for our students AND their families!
Have Your Child Bring a Friend to Shadow Day on Monday, and You Could Earn Tuition Credits!
The public schools are off, but St. Ann is in session, so it’s a perfect day for your child to bring a friend to spend some time shadowing in their current grade to see what a day at SAS is like. If you know students who would be interested in exploring our school, please have their parents register them for Shadow Day here: http://bit.ly/ShadowDaySAS
Shadows should report to the main entrance on Chicago Avenue (door C1) at 7:30 a.m. Host students will bring their shadows back to the main entrance to be picked up by a parent when school ends at 2:50 p.m. Since our students are in uniforms, shadows should dress accordingly in a collared shirt and dress or khaki pants. Gym shoes are acceptable for shadows. They should also bring a sack lunch.
Be sure to fill out a New Student Referral Form for any friends who visit. You will receive a $500 tuition credit for every new family who enrolls by your referral!
November Gathering
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 9:00 a.m.
All little ones not yet in school are invited to bring their parents/guardians for some fun at our playgroup! Tiny Roughriders is open to all, so invite your friends as well. The next play date after this one will take place on Wednesday, December 11.
Palace Planning Session
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 7:00 p.m. at J.J. KELLEY'S
If we want to keep SAS vital and thriving for the future while we work on our growth, we need as many parents as possible to please consider joining our planning session next Wednesday for the Night at the Palace event coming in March 2020. We are in the process of forming a strategy for the event and planning to take it in an exciting new direction by adding CASINO GAMING! Come hear all about it and find out what you can do to help. We will gather in the Clover Room at J.J. Kelley's, 2455 Bernice Road, Lansing. Please bring your ideas and your friends―the more the merrier!
Please Keep the Pokemon Cards at Home
Does your child love Pokémon? Trading cards is a fun hobby! But we must ask that our students leave their cards at home from now on. The Pokémon activity carries on throughout the day and is very distracting. Not to mention, we would hate for any conflicts to arise if someone's cards go missing. If any students are seen with Pokémon cards moving forward, the cards will be held in the office and must be picked up by a parent. Thank you for understanding! We do know how beloved the activity is, so we will be planning a Pokémon-themed day in the future.
Parents need a night out, too--come show what you know! Trivia teams may have up to eight players. Don't have a team? We can put you with other singles or a small group. The cost is $10 per player in advance or $15 per person at the door.
Feel free to bring your own food and drinks―alcoholic beverages are permitted (this is a 21and over event). Mulligans will be available for purchase, and there will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishing teams.
Make your reservations and pay online at https://bit.ly/StAnnTriviaNight or download and fill out the form and submit with payment to the office. Reservations and payments must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, when the “at the door” rate of $15 will go into effect Please make checks payable to St. Ann.
First Early Bird Drawing is Near!
Win $500 in November! Your child should have brought home an envelope containing your Pot of Gold tickets a few weeks ago. If you did not receive your tickets, please call the school office! You have already paid for these through your Fundraising Fee--we just need you to fill out the stubs and return them so you will be in the first Early Bird Drawing on November 24. If you want to try to resell them, you simply need to fill in the name of your purchaser (with your name on the back as seller). Your buyer will pay you, and you keep that money. Don't delay, or you'll miss a chance at $500 in the Early Bird! We need your stubs by Friday, November 22!
Are You Sending in Your Stracks Receipts? Please ask others to save them for you too!
Collect Strack & VanTil Food Market register receipts dated between September 1, 2019 and March 2, 2020 to help St. Ann earn FREE educational rewards! Every classroom has a Collection Envelope, and we will be tallying the value of the receipts turned in. The class that brings in the most will win a prize!
Weekly School Masses
We attend Mass together as a school community every Wednesday morning in the Church at 9:00 a.m. Please join us any time!
