Winter Concert Season
This week our student musicians performed both in school for their peers and again on Thursday night to a packed house! Both performances were incredible! Congratulations and thank you, music students, for kicking off the winter holidays with your beautiful music. Also, thank you to our talented sound and light students who do such an amazing job that no one notices that they are taking care of all sound and lighting during the concerts. And, congratulations to our Music Teachers, Mr. Sanchez, Mrs. Tosti, and Mr. Werner--you never cease to amaze us with your dedication.
Our second Winter Concert is on Wednesday, December 13 at 7 p.m.

Who Wants to be Linked in Unity?!
Our next Link to Unity is on January 20th. This L2U is open to all 7th, 8th and 9th graders who want to come together to have fun and learn leadership and advocacy skills. Each L2U can hold 60 students and students can self nominate by filling out a quick L2U nomination form. We will send invitations based on nominations in early January.
Please note, L2U starts at 8:30 and ends at 11 a.m. Being that it is an action and learning packed two-and-a half hours, students must commit to attending the entire session (no leaving early). Participation is free and student participants get a L2U t-shirt at the end.
For more information about L2U, see the link below.

Freshman Baby Photos for the Yearbook
Dear Parents/Guardians of 9th Graders:
The Tamanend Middle School yearbook advisors will be collecting 9th grade baby pictures for the 2017-2018 yearbook. We are inviting you to include a memento in your child’s yearbook that he or she will remember forever. Submitting your student’s picture is a great way to honor your child in the yearbook at this special time in his or her life. The cost is $5. Submissions are due, December 22.,2017 (half day for students). If you would like to participate in this milestone experience, please CLICK HERE. NOTE: please save the picture as your child's name. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Kristen Littley.
Throughout the year, Tamanend staff members look for examples of students showing Respect, Achievement, and Responsibility... R.oA.R. Those students are given "Tiger Tracks" tickets which students can enter into a drawing. Each Friday, Mr. Boyle draws one student's Tiger Track and announces the winner on our Tamanend Today Show. The winner can pick from a number of prizes including great coupons from Subway, Rita's, Randazzo's, Yogurt Tree, and Moe's!
The following students were recent weekly winners!
