Let's Hear the Roar
Week of March 30th
Note from the LCHS Admin Team
We hope that you and your families are all doing well and that your child has successfully started remote learning. We hope your child has checked their teachers' website and successfully completed the review work assigned. Wednesday, April 1st, starts the 2nd week of remote learning.
Please check the information all the way through this newsletter. We have included information from the counselors on the course selection sheets for next year, a parent/student webinar for help with Google Classroom, information from the College and Career Center, the Student Council Spirit week, and some fun facts about our staff and student groups. Our goal is to keep you updated and connected with Lake Creek High School.
We worked with the Technology Department to distribute laptops on Friday to students who had internet access, but did not have a device to complete assignments based on needs listed on the survey that was sent out from Dr. Rees. We have a limited number of laptops available. If you do not have an electronic device in your home, please email one of your child's teachers or their grade-level administrator.
For those who do not have internet access and need a hard copy of assignments please let one of your child's teachers or their administrator know. We plan on having the printed materials available for you to pick up Wednesday from 2pm - 4pm on the table in front of the school. We will follow strict safety guideline issued by the Texas Education Agency in the preparation, distribution, and collection of these materials.
Each day our Lake Creek Community misses the leadership of Mr. Eaton. As we work through this unprecedented time, there is much we hope for – a return to normalcy, too see our students and the return of our Principal, Mr. Eaton. We know he feels the Spirit and Pride from this family formed by our Lake Creek Community. Please contact any administrator or counselor if we can help in anyway.
