Seminar 6
Journals, Observations, and Midterms, Oh My!
Timecards...?
I have finally managed to fix my own login. I have noticed:
- Alissa has logged weeks 1-2
- Tori has logged no weeks
- Katie has logged weeks 1-2
- Brittany has logged no weeks
- Stacie has logged all weeks
Please let me know if you cannot get in or are experiencing other difficulties (or have Stacie help you since she clearly has it down!!!) Sunny or Kari in the School & Community Office are also great resources to troubleshoot login issues. What we don’t want is to wait until the end to resolve login issues or problems entering hours.
If you haven’t logged all hours, make sure yours saving them somewhere! You want to get credit for all this hard work you’re doing!
Journals!
- Grades for #3 and #4 will be entered in Moodle by end of day
- I will bring your responses to you next week!
Observation Post-Conference Forms
- Go to https://education.illinois.edu/docs/default-source/c-i-documents/pdfs/oce---post-conference-worksheet-efe-st-2-19-15_0.pdf?sfvrsn=2
- Instead of sending you your observation feedback first, I’m asking that you reflect on how the lesson went, without my thoughts cluttering your thinking. I want to hear your ideas on your teaching, and then we can add in mine.
- So for Post-Conference, please come prepared with the above form completed. Take time to sit with it...try not to rush. I’ll have my feedback ready when I meet you!
Using Danielson to evaluate professor lupin!
As a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I have often noted how J.K. Rowling makes an eloquent point of showing instances of good and not-so-good teaching in her stories. (If you haven’t read her book The Casual Vacancy, it’s a great read, although very sad, and makes a grand statement on education.)
