IRESA Daytime Science PD Opportunities

Iosco RESA is offering a 6-session daytime series called "Applying the Michigan Science Standards". Featuring some of Michigan's most innovative science education leaders, this series leads school teams through the purpose, shifts, and 3-dimensional learning of the MSS. Energizing Our World Saturday

Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 9am-3pm

Energizing Our World Saturday is a one-day camp program designed to introduce students currently in grades 6th through 8th to the power of renewable energy. During Energizing Our World, students will rotate in groups through fun and engaging activities facilitated by Grand Valley University faculty. For instance, participants will learn how we can utilize the power of the sun, the ability for water to make energy, and much more! Click here for more information, registration deadline is 9/28.

AMA/Iosco Math Science Center

The AMA/Iosco Math Science Center is one of the 33 regional centers in the Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers Network. These centers provide leadership, curriculum support, professional development, and student services to educators in local school districts. The centers also serve as a resource clearinghouse for educational information, and work to foster community involvement in the areas of mathematics and science. The Network supports the delivery of high quality mathematics and science education for the students of Michigan. The long-term mission of the Center is to foster systemic improvements in mathematics and science education.
