WELCOME TO THE STUDENT AFFAIRS FACULTY/STAFF NEWSLETTER!

This monthly update will help keep faculty/staff in the loop with what's going on in the world of Student Affairs.

FROM THE COUNSELING CENTER:

De-Stress for Success Event List:

De-stress for Success is a series of free events, programs and workshops designed to help students to find ways to reduce stress in a healthy, productive manner, and gain the focus they need to succeed. Events begin Monday, May 2nd - Friday, May 13th.

Zumba: Tuesday, May 10 • 11:00 a.m. – noon • Dods Hall Gym.

Paws to Relax: Monday, May 9 & Tuesday, May 10 • noon – 1:00 p.m. • Reed Library. Pet and play with certified therapy dogs.

Freeze Pops & Frisbees: Wednesday, May 11 & Thursday, May 12 • 11:00 a.m. – noon • Reed Library lobby.
Yoga: Monday, May 9 • 11:00 a.m. – noon. • Dods Hall Gym. Free yoga class. Mats will be available or you can bring your own.
Healthy Bites: Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 13. The Student Health Center (LoGrasso Hall) will be offering free healthy snacks. Healthy snacks will also be available May 10 & 11 in Reed Library from noon – 1:00 p.m.
Relaxation Kits: Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 13. The Student Health Center (LoGrasso Hall) will be offering free relaxation kits.
Chalk it Up: Monday, May 9 • 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. • President’s House Driveway (194 Central Ave). Bring out your inner kid again by drawing with sidewalk chalk.
Stress Free Zone: Monday, May 3 - Thursday, May 12 • Reed Library Lobby • Take a timeout & relax with various activities including: coloring, crafts, & games.
Quiet Study Areas: Reed Library has extended hours from Sunday, May 1 - Thursday, May 12. During this time, the Reed Library Classroom (1st Floor) will be available for quiet study in addition to the everyday quiet study areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Carnahan-Jackson Center. The Williams Center has designated quiet study areas: Monday, May 9 – Thursday, May 12 • 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Friday, May 13, 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. • Rooms: G103C, S204D, and the Multipurpose Room.
Exam Study Break: Tuesday, May 10 • 7:00 p.m. • Free food • Williams Center: Multipurpose room • Sponsored by Spectrum.

De-Stress for Success is sponsored by the Counseling Center, Reed Library, Student Affairs, Student Health Center, Residence Life, Campus Life, and Spectrum.

CELEBRATING DR. HERMAN

Join us Friday, June 24 at 4:00 p.m. as we celebrate the career of Dr. David Herman in the Natatorium Lobby of Steele Hall.

In lieu of retirement gifts, donations to the Keeper of the Dream Scholarship will be kindly accepted here.

FREDONIA STATE ATHLETICS

Congratulations to the Blue Devils for their 17-10 win against the Penn St. Behrend Lions. In winning, the Blue Devils have reclaimed the Interstate-90 Cup from the Lions.

FAREWELL FROM THE INTERN DESK

As the semester comes to a close, so does my time here at Fredonia. My four years here have been full of incredible experiences and I am happy to add this position to the list.
