The Weekly Connection
Updates from the Principal's Office - August 22nd, 2021
Message from Mrs. Jones
Our theme this year centers around making connections. It has been such a pleasure getting to connect with many of our students already; I look forward to more opportunities in the coming week!
One upcoming opportunity for building school-to-home connections is Back-to-School Night. This year's Back-to-School Night is a VIRTUAL event scheduled for Tuesday, August 31st. Please keep an eye out for additional information!
Let's make this a great week, Warriors!

Bus Routes & Bus Passes

Arrivals & Departures
Student Drop-off & Pick-up
Thank you for your patience at the start of the school year as everyone remembers now to navigate arrivals and departures to campus. Please help us with the flow of traffic around our campus by reviewing the following information.
- Main parking lot on Stage Coach Lane (along the baseball field)
- Student parking lot on Winterhaven (enter at the east end and continue carefully through the loop)
- Student overflow parking lot at the district office
Please do NOT use the following locations for drop-off or pick-up:
- Pool parking lot on Winterhaven (this is a safety issue due to the volume of buses entering and exiting this parking lot before and after school)
- Ag/Visitor bleachers parking lot (there is not enough room to allow for entry and exit of student drivers and parent vehicles)
Student Parking
- Senior Lot on Stage Coach Lane (near baseball field)
- Sophomore/Junior Lot (behind visitor bleachers)
- Sophomore/Junior Lot (district overflow parking)
- Sophomore/Junior Lot (on Winterhaven)
Students may not park in the staff parking lots (main parking lot in from of the Performing Arts Center & pool parking lot on Winterhaven).

5 Tips for a Successful School Year!
- Check Parent/Student Communications Portal & Student Emails regularly. Important information is shared through these methods- don't miss out!
- Be on time! Tardy notices will be issued starting this Monday, August 23rd. Please help our students to maximize their time in class by allowing plenty of time for drop-off.
- FHS is a closed campus at this time. Please send necessary items with your students each day as drop off of forgotten student items will not be allowed. Remember- free lunches are available to all students this year, so if they forget a lunch they will be provided for!
- Students with open periods may not be on campus during times they do not have scheduled classes. Students may return to campus at 3pm if they are participating in extracurricular activities.
- Athletic equipment should be stored safely during class time and not carried from class to class. Please communicate with coaches regarding where these items can be housed during the day.
