Monte Vista 2023: January 9th-13th
Weekly Recap from January 2nd-6th
Our staff came back on Tuesday with a full-day kickoff professional development that focused on such items as Computer Science, analyzing YouthTruth survey data, iready diagnostic 2 data analysis and lesson planning resources, and inquiry-based instruction quarter 2 reflection and planning ahead for arc 3. Also all classrooms got new entry doors during the break.
During the shortened school week, a few grade levels wrapped up their inquiry arc quarter 2 expositions before starting their third quarter inquiry arcs. All classrooms jumped back into resetting their academic and classroom community routines. All grade levels had their respective schoolwide community meeting check-ins. Students enjoyed having PE in the mini-gym due to rain and tree-cutting in the outside spaces.
Most specials started back up this week, including Art, Makerspace, and Library. Ariel theatrical visited to do some measurements and space inventory for the upcoming Grades 5-7 High School Musical production.
We look forward to most after-school enrichment clubs starting up this week as we soar farther into our school flight/journey.
