Attention Grace Families
It's teacher appreciation week May 7th - 11th. This is the week when all students and parents have a chance to show our awesome teachers how much we love and appreciate all the hard work they do for our children and us.
Every room parent was given a sheet with your teacher's favorite things on it. This will help you set up the week's events. (Parents should have received an email from their room moms) To make it easier for you and fair for all teachers to receive the same amount of love, we have made a schedule for everyday of the week. We want all the kids to feel involved and to be a big part of this.
Monday: Make a name poem card (or any kind of card) from your Teachers Name Example:
I I see the way she loves us all.
S She makes silly fun faces when she teaches
B Bring her homework on time and she smiles
E Eating candy is one thing we both love
L Laughter is always in our classroom
L Lift up your hands and clap for my teacher
Tuesday: Coffee and Tea day. Bring coffee, tea or something that goes with it (gift cards to Starbucks, mugs, etc).
Wednesday: Flowers and candy day. Bring flowers from your garden or your teachers favorite candy. Include a vase or bucket for flowers.
Thursday: Make a basket day. Bring in something to fill a basket as the gift. Like gift cards, movie tickets, spa things, fruits, nuts, etc. Room moms may have a basket ready to fill with all the goodies.
Friday: Surprise day. Go crazy and have fun. Ask the kids what they would like to do; like an ice cream party, decorate the classroom, sing a class song, make a video for them. All teachers will also be getting a catered lunch from PTF that day.
Thank you for all your help!!!
Thank you so much for all your hard work. It has been an awesome year,
God Bless!!

Grace Family Campout
Earlier this year we had to postpone the family camp out due to lack of volunteers to help make it a success. The campout has been scheduled for Friday night May 18th. But in order to make this event happen we need a few people to take the lead in the following areas:
Parking lot control, Dinner, Movie Night, Fire control, Security Patrol, Breakfast
Cleanup. We will have a leader meeting next week to make plans for the camp out. Once we have people that can lead each of the areas, we will need additional volunteers to help those leaders. If we do not have enough people step up to help we will need to cancel the camp out this year. If you are interested in the camp out leadership team, please respond to Ben Elliott at belliott@gracelcms.net
