ICCS Mission Statement:
NEW ICCS PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCED
Dear ICCS families,
I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Blair Moses Tadlock has been chosen as the new Principal of Immaculate Conception Cathedral School (ICCS). I am grateful for the hard work and generous service of the members of our search committee who worked closely with me during this selection process.
Of all the candidates we interviewed, Mrs. Tadlock has the most experience in Catholic schools – both as an educator and as an administrator. Because she has worked at ICCS for most of her professional life, she is intimately familiar with our school’s traditions, challenges, families, and its mission as a parent, teacher, and administrator. She has proven herself a capable administrator in her role as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal.
In her long tenure at ICCS, Mrs. Tadlock has demonstrated loyalty, dedication, and commitment to Catholic education, and particularly to our school. Those who have worked with her have seen her ability to lead by example and her willingness to give support wherever it is needed. She is a visionary leader who works hard to achieve what is best for the students and our school community. She has the fortitude and strength of character to help us get through the challenges we face and lead us towards a brighter future.
Please join me in offering support and congratulations to our very own, Mrs. Blair Tadlock. Let’s pray for God’s blessing on her, her family, and our community, as she prepares to begin a new chapter in her life as Principal of our beloved Immaculate Conception Cathedral School.
Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, intercede for us!
St. Joseph, guard and protect us!
Sincerely yours in Our Lord & Our Lady,
Reverend Father Rommel P. Tolentino
Pastor of Immaculate Conception Cathedral School

"What Happened After Once Upon A Time?" performed by ICCS 7th Grade Students
What really happened after “once upon a time?" You’ll find out in this fun, large-cast, simple-to-stage fractured fairy tale. A substitute narrator is called in on short notice to present stories from a stack of fairy tale books. But just as each tale begins its ”once upon a time,” the main characters show up to interrupt and correct the newbie narrator’s telling of their story. Turns out, these characters have hysterical idiosyncrasies: Rapunzel is an insufferable diva, Cinderella is a clean freak, the Three Little Pigs are hypochondriacs, Little Red Riding Hood is a lawyer defending the Wolf, and more. The chaos continues until the frustrated narrator finally breaks down. It’s up to the characters to comfort the narrator and explain what really happened after “once upon a time.”
CAST MEMBERS INCLUDE Emma Foret, Jane Casanova, Tatum Bridges, Sophia Lanthier, Gabi Barrios, Ruth McCain, Madeline Hennigan, Baleigh Marcantel, William Brittain, Macie Boudreaux, Julian Vallee, Ryder Chance, Lilly Mathew, Addison Champeaux, Addison Rasberry, Joela Lassien, Isabella East and Kate Reeves.
"And Then There Was One - A Spoof" performed by ICCS 8th Grade Students
This spoof of the famous Agatha Christie stage mystery is all comedy, filled with hilarious sight gags and dialogue. Ten people are brought together by mysterious invitation to the Reef Mansion on a tiny, isolated island. Not one of them knows the host, who is nowhere to be found. Still, he has left an ominous recording that bodes evil for the guests. Like the chocolate soldiers that inexplicably disappear from the mantel one by one, the guests begin to fade one by one. A great spoof, this delightful script doesn’t miss any opportunity for lively comedy and humor.
CAST MEMBERS INCLUDE Caroline Hankins, AJ Schlang, Lizzie Austin, Rowan LeJeune, Noah Katoch, Cate FIlo, Anna Robertson, Camille Zeringue, Kaleb Katoch, Natalie Obluda, and Sam Chung,
HEART NOTE FUNDRAISER WAS A BIG SUCCESS
Mrs. Aimee Romano and the ICCS Student Council members and Mrs. Lea Poncho and our Progressions students would like to extend appreciation to the kind and helpful people who worked hard behind the scenes to help make this year's fundraiser a success: Mrs. Melissa Mathew, Mrs. Nikki Welch, Coach Austin Pickle, Coach Heather Breaux, Mrs. Milissa Thibodeaux, and Mrs. Hillary Green.
THE VIRTUE OF MAGNANAIMITY
As we continue to work on the virtue of magnanimity, we think of ways to help grow the love in our hearts. Magnanimity looks like getting to know everyone in your class. Ask yourself, do I talk to the same people every day, or do I try to make new friends as well? Do I avoid speaking to classmates who don’t like the same things I like?
Dear Jesus, help me today to have a large soul that goes out to everyone. I know Your love is large enough to cover all humanity; help my love to be that broad as well. Grant me the grace to go out of myself and talk to someone I don’t usually talk to today so that my heart can become like Yours. Amen.

**Re-enrolling Cathedral parishioners do not need to submit this form, Cathedral subsidy is verified directly with the Cathedral office. Parents with questions regarding their Cathedral subsidy status should contact the Cathedral office directly at (337) 436-7251.

THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF
Our students make us smile often! Here is an example. Kindergarten student, Carter Mullin wrote this sweet sidewalk chalk message all by himself Tuesday during outdoor recess time. He could not wait to share it with Kindergarten Aide, Ms. Nancy Bellon. The message says, "Ms. Nancy this is the best school." Carter, thank YOU for making ICCS a great place to learn and grow in faith!
