Between the Lions

A CMHS Publication - December 2014

From the Desk of Kathryn Woodson Barr, Head of School...

Greetings from McAuley!

November and December are, indeed, my favorite months. While we focus on our Thanksgiving blessings in November and give thanks for the many gifts we have received, we quickly turn the calendar to December, where we shift our attention to the joy that comes from giving.

During my time here, your gifts have so graciously come to us in a number of different forms. Besides your monetary support of our girls, I have witnessed the overflowing abundance of time, talent and treasure - all gifts that bring meaning and pride to this amazing institution that we call McAuley. Your support - in whatever shape it takes - makes a difference. And for that, we thank you.

The Tuesday after "Cyber Monday" is traditionally known as "Giving Tuesday," which jumpstarts a month of giving and sharing the gifts you have with others. Please consider your new or ongoing support of McAuley - which allows so many girls with dreams to become women of vision.

Faculty, staff and the Board of Trustees boast 100% participation in this year's Annual Fund campaign! Thank you, in advance, for the difference you will make from the gift of giving.

Christmas & New Year Blessings,

Kathryn Woodson Barr

Head of School
