Counselor Corner

The holidays are here and you can feel the excitement in the air! This is a special time of year where we give thanks and enjoy our family and friends. As you may have heard from your child, we have encompassed Community Circles into our weekly character lessons this year. These lessons are a wonderful way for each class to get to know each other better while also learning about important character traits. In the next few weeks our lessons will be over empathy and respect. These two traits fit in perfectly with the holidays. It’s also an ideal time to take a moment and have a conversation with your child about the importance of these two traits. Help them understand how empathy impacts how we treat others and how respect is one of the greatest qualities that a person can earn.

I would also like to thank all of you that have donated to our holiday drives. We were able to help many families in our community. I am always amazed at how generous our Brill family is and I am proud to be your counselor. Please feel free to contact me if you have additional donations or know of a family in need.

YOU CANNOT DO A KINDNESS TOO SOON, FOR YOU NEVER KNOW HOW SOON IT WILL BE TOO LATE. -RALPH WALDO EMERSON

I wish you all the happiest of holidays!
