The HHS Bright Futures Council is hosting a Chuck the Duck fundraiser at Thursday's boys' basketball game. Buy a duck (or two), then at halftime, chuck it into the wading pool at centercourt & win half the proceeds. The Council will use its portion to support the HHS snack pantry in Mrs. Hipp's office.
Station 42 Open Night
Station 42 is the Bright Futures clothing, shoes, and hygiene resource area. It's open twice a month for anyone who would like to "shop." It will be open this Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. It's located in the building just down the hill from the football field.
Harrisonville High School will be giving the Accuplacer test to any senior interested on March 10th. The Accuplacer test is a placement assessment used to determine course placement for students attending MCC (Longview, Penn Valley, Blue River, Maple Woods or Business and Technical). To take the test students must apply to MCC and complete the registration form below. The test is free if taken on this date. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Congratulations to Emily Joseph who qualified for State Swimming in the 50 free and 100 back! She will compete in St. Peter's this weekend.
Congratulations to the DECA State Qualifiers - 1st place Business Finance: Michael Schuhler; 1st place Sports and Entertainment Marketing: Maddie Hoffman; 2nd place Hospitality and Tourism written event: Kara Lemmer and Elizabeth Bostic; 2nd place Principles of Marketing: Katelyn Young; 3rd place Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making: Elizabeth Bostic and Kara Lemmer; 3rd place Marketing Management Team Decision Making: Emily Gray and Riley Matthews; and 3rd place Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making: Amy Tracy and Ethan Danner.
Congratulations to the FBLA State Qualifiers - Carson Crowley who earned 2nd place in Accounting ll and 3rd place in Business Calculations and Keigan Rowe who earned 5th place in Accounting ll at the district competition.

Congrats to the three student-athletes who signed letters of intent to continue their athletic & academic careers beyond HS-Amelia Dreyer, Goshen College, volleyball, nursing; Evan Filer, William Woods University, soccer, math; and Gabi Wilson, Graceland University, cheer, elem ed/special ed.
Congratulations to the Eleven Harrisonville High School students who participated in the Missouri River Valley Conference Choir on Wednesday, February 19. The students were selected based on seniority, ability, and work ethic. ( Lauren Dale, Charlie Crouser, Sophia Sparks, Michael Schuhler, Halle Keeney, Nolan Medlin, Caroline Ocheskey, Madalyn Ritter, Leah Bartlett, Brooke Hopkins, and Kal Landstrom.) The event was held at Grain Valley High School. The students rehearsed all day and performed a concert that afternoon.
Congrats to our Wildcat Wrestlers, Girls' Team-State Champ, Nonnie Justice-State Champ, Trevor Campbell & Chloe Herrick-State Runners-Up, Melaina Beachner-3rd place, and State Qualifiers-Nick Ripperger & Kale Weber
Senior Scholarship Notes
Cass Community Health Foundation ($750-$2500) - due 3/1
Criteria - 3.0 GPA and minimum ACT score of 20, interest in nursing or health related degreeStudents that will be receiving the A+ scholarship are not eligible to apply
Requirements: Application, Letter of Rec from teacher, College Acceptance Letter, Official Transcript & essay
Essay (not exceed one to two double-spaced pages) on one of these topics

- Why do you believe you should be selected to receive one of our scholarships

Phillip Zaroor Entrepreneurial Scholarship - $250 – $1,000 per academic year. (Year 1, $250 | Year 2, $500 | Year 3, $750 | Year 4, $1,000)
Criteria - pursuing an undergraduate degree at any accredited two or four year college, university or trade school, must have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.25, must have demonstrated involvement in school and/or community related activities
Requirements: Application, 500-word essay, three letters of rec, resume
