The Warrior Way

Warrior Life
We had a great week at Warren this week! Our students continue to be pushed throughout their various classes. Gateway II students finished their unit on creating an app to help label the human body. Mrs. Olson's Reading class participated in Text Structure stations. Students had to identify text structures and identify signal words as they read through passages. Mrs. Sheets classes learned about global and local convection currents in the atmosphere and water systems within the Earth. Students created their their own moving convection currents investigating how temperature affects the density of water. Our Warren cheerleaders also had their annual cheer banquet where they got to reflect on a great season of cheer.
We finished the week with an epic Color Battle that over 300 of our students were able to participate in. They played numerous games and ended with a color battle for the ages. Our students did a phenomenal job of raising funds for our school. We appreciate all of your support these past two weeks in helping our students and campus.
We are very proud of our Warriors and all of their hard work! We look forward to a great week this week.
Warrior Teacher of Week
This week we would like to recognize Mr. Cody Russell as our teacher of the week. Mr. Russell is our head band director. He also assists at Rhea intermediate throughout the week as well. Mr. Russell has been at Warren for many years and has done a great job building this program. Mr. Russell spends countless hours outside of the normal school day preparing for his students. He is there early each day to allow students to come in for additional practice and is always willing to stay late if needed. Mr. Russell has a true passion for helping students learn music. He does a great job building relationships with his students. They know that he is always trying to bring out the best in them. Mr Russell continues to do a great job with our students and is always will to help out wherever needed. We appreciate the countless hours he has spent for his students and are thankful to have him at Warren.
Warrior Student of the Week
This week we would like to recognize Sean Rodriguez as our 7th grade Warrior of the week. Sean is enrolled in various advanced courses. He is also involved in boys athletics. Sean's teacher says that he is always trying to be a friend to others. This week in particular, he made it a point to sit with and talk to a student who he noticed tended to isolate himself. This was a very admirable thing for him to do.
We would like to recognize Emil Draganov as our 8th grade Warrior of the week. Emil is also involved in advanced courses. He is enrolled in our Gateway II which he will receive high school credit. His teachers describe him as the most helpful, enjoyable and respectful student. He is always eager to learn and has such a mature student for his age.
We are very proud of these two students and how they display the Warrior Way in all that they do!!
