From The Desk of Mr. Anderson...
Another year has almost come to a close! May is such a fast moving month, the end will be here before we know it. You guessed it! Here comes the annual "Mr. Anderson wants to take time to remind everyone that we still have a month of school left to help our kids continue to grow as students and citizens. That's plenty of time to make a positive impact speech"! We look at it as if we have another 15 days to be impactful, and I hope your children feel the same way!
Our students did a wonderful job listening to teachers and directions during our lockdown drill the other day! Lockdown is only a portion of what we will cover with students, as well as covering other aspects of safety with teachers and staff. Many great questions were brought to our teachers' attention during and after the drill. We look to improve those drills the more we do them, and our frequency will be increasing next year for these drills.
With a lot of activities planned at the school, field trips, and field days, I also want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all volunteers that are going to be helping with those, as well as other activities throughout this year that required many hands. We have the best group of volunteers on the planet! The Elementary PTO and the District-wide Party of Bluejays committees also deserve huge THANK YOUs for their hard work and dedication to our students. We benefit greatly from these organizations and the efforts they put forth for our children. Our work is never done and the work is never easy for you, them, or us! We are glad to have partners like you all!
Have a great spring and summer everyone! It has been another great year at Morris and I look forward to another as we will gather next fall for the 2018-2019 school year!
Yours In Education,
Mr. Anderson
