THINK PINK
Newark Central School is supporting breast cancer awareness month with staff participating in Denim/Wear Pink Day on Friday, October 20. One is eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer sometime during her life—let’s try and change that statistic!
For your donation of $5.00, you will receive a pink necklace to wear with your jeans and pink clothing. We will take a picture of staff in each building to show solidarity. Proceeds will go to Embrace Your Sisters, a local non-profit organization that supports women in need financially and emotionally. In addition, part of the proceeds will be supporting one of our own newly diagnosed teachers. We will begin collecting money on Thursday, October 5, 2017
Each Building has a place to donate:
The District Office—Liz Hernandez
The High School--- Counseling Office (Sue Gardner)
The Middle School---Inger Rothpearl—Nurse
Kelley School—Main Office—Tina Lewis (Lisa Spencer, Kerri Levine)
Perkins School—Val Michaels
Lincoln School— Lisa Williams—Nurse

If you are willing, take some photos of kids crunching their apples to send to Mandy and Tony Comella. Mandy will include them in our newsletter for parents and Tony puts photos on the district website.
