Panther families,
Thank you for braving the cold to walk with us in honor of Ruby Bridges and her bravery 62 years ago when she walked into the first desegregated school in Louisiana. We are so grateful for her efforts and continue her courageous work to this day.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with food, family and health! This flu season is a doozy! Last week, the worst of it had 22% of our students home ill. We want kids at school, so get your rest, drink those fluids and take your vitamins!
When dropping students off, please be sure to follow all of our parking lot expectations: no drop off without a pass in the staff lot, use sidewalks and crosswalks and look both ways before crossing! We've had a few scary instances lately, so I wanted to call your attention to it.
Lastly, go get some Crumbl cookies today to support our 6th grade Panthers!
Stay awkward, brave and kind!

Question of the week from Principal Harp
Each week, I will be sending out a question with which you will be given the opportunity to engage in a new conversation with your child. We all know how hard it is to draw out responses other than, "nothing" or "fine" when we ask "What did you do today?" or "How was school?" Be sure to use open ended follow-up questions and statements such as "Tell me more about that!" or "What did you think of that?" Please ask your student(s) the question below, share their response with us and make our day! You can submit more than one response! (No need to put names or identifying words.)
Talk to me about what you are learning in math lately!
Check out last weeks answers below
The Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports focus for this week is for students to follow the expectations in their classrooms. Each class has their own matrix with more specific expectations. Ask your student to tell you one way they need to be safe, respectful and responsible in their classrooms.
