WEEKLY NEWS--February 7, 2020
On Tuesday, February 11th, parents will be able to view their child’s Standards-Based Report Card, through our Home Access Center. The report cards will be open for viewing after 4:00 pm on this day. As always, teachers are available to meet or discuss should you have questions or concerns about the report card.
Valentine’s day parties will be held in the classrooms on the afternoon of Thursday, February 13th unless otherwise indicated by your classroom teacher. Homeroom Parents will be in contact with classroom families for food and other party donations. Please contact your Homeroom Parents, directly, with questions. The office staff would not be able to answer specific questions that you may have regarding your child’s party.
There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 14th (Teacher In-Service) AND Monday, February 17th (President’s Day).
Beginning next school year, the Life Skills program currently at HCE will be moving to Richboro Elementary School. The school district recognizes that the program, the students, and their families are integral members of the HCE school community, but for a variety of reasons, the district made this necessary decision. Saying goodbye will be difficult, but plans are in progress to make the transition as smooth as possible for the children and their families.

If your child has been ill, please allow adequate recovery time so that your child does not re-introduce illness at school by returning too early. Please also consider the fact that some children are very fatigued during illness recovery and do need a little extra time at home. Children who have had diarrhea or have been vomiting should remain home for 24 hours symptom-free before returning to school.
We ask that children be free of fever for 24 hours, with NO Tylenol or Motrin during the 24 hours, before returning to school. If unsure, please call the health office to discuss your child’s care.
We wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year.
