Supporting Reuben - a message from the Nursery
The lead story on the front page of this week’s Maidenhead Advertiser carries the harrowing story of three year old Reuben Virdee who at the beginning of December was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a very rare form of childhood cancer affecting fewer than 100 children in the UK.
Many of you will not know that Reuben joined our Nursery at College Avenue in September and regularly attended sessions with us until he fell ill in November. Since then he has been under the marvellous care of the NHS, both in and out of hospital, but even now Reuben’s parents are having to consider the cost of overseas treatment. You can read more about Reuben’s treatment in his mother’s own words, “Reuben’s Fight”, on their gofundme page. If you would like to support Reuben then you can also make a donation on this page or like it on Facebook or Tweet.
