This Week in 2B

Who Am I research begins, Money, conferences

Our learning journey....

And so it begins....the Who Am I research project! This week we will be creating our notes for the childhood and adulthood sections of the project. We will be using the biography, internet and encyclopedia as our sources. It is vital that the book is brought home for homework reading and returned to school the following day for the next two weeks. In grammar students will continue to learn about the four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory and imperative. They are also part of our spelling list this week. Money will continue to be the focus in math. It is a great idea to have your child practice making change while out shopping. Parent conferences are on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. I look forward to seeing you then!

Come have a stompin' good time at Country Fair on Saturday!

Please don't forget that this Saturday is Country Fair! We'll have a break the dress code day on Friday.....any Country Fair t-shirt is welcome! In preparation for the big day please do not forget to send in coins for Panning for Gold and books for the Used Book Sale. We also need one more volunteer for our booth from 2-3...hope you can help! A huge thumbs up to second grade moms Cori Howington and Suzanne Conley...chairs of the Country Fair! Let's have an awesome day!
