Fabulous Fourth Grade
Week of September 23, 2013
Highlights from our Classroom
This week in Math we will start learning decimals! We will be spending two weeks on this and will be relating it to money and the place values we have been learning.
In Social Studies, this week we will be creating a physical map of Texas. The students have almost completed their political maps of Texas. To practice using a map, the classes are creating maps of the school to share with one another to find a hidden treasure. Continue to give your students opportunities to help you with directions when in the car :)
Congrats Joseph and Lauren on being voted the Postmasters for our class for the Wee Deliver system.
Homework
I am using their creations in my classroom for many different things. Some of their games are becoming stations and questions they create are being used for Bell Work (our warm-up when they enter the room.) Please continue to give me your feedback on the homework.
