Benefits of Physical Activity and Nutrition
Physical activity goes hand in hand with nutrition to keep us and our bodies healthy. But, even when singled out, both of these things have their own, unique ways to keep us on the right track to a healthy lifestyle. Physical activity allows us to move around more easily and to sleep better, while keeping weight in check and increasing the chances of a longer lifespan. (choosemyplate.gov). Proper nutrition and eating healthy decrease the risk of hypertension and type 2 diabetes, especially as they are becoming more common at younger ages (fitness.gov). Combined, the main benefits of physical activity and proper nutrition are a healthier weight, increased chances to live longer, and overall, a more comfortable lifestyle that opens up many new gateways to everyone.
