Dear Lander Families,
Welcome to all our new families who recently registered to join Lander Elementary School. We are excited to have you, and we welcome you to our community. The information provided below might be familiar to some of you as most of it was included in the newsletter sent out last week, but I wanted to ensure all of our families have access to information for the start of the school year.
To kick off the 2022-2023 school year, we will be scheduling individual meetings with each student. We ask that at least one parent/guardian and the child attend the meeting. These Meet the Teacher Experiences will allow time for our staff members to begin building connections as they learn about your child and how to best support his or her academic journey. During these appointments, families are encouraged to bring school supplies, ask questions, and share information that will help our team members get to know your child.

Annual Update OLR
Annual Update OLR is the electronic process for parents to go into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in order to update and confirm all student data that is currently in our system. This must be completed for each student even if there are NO changes. You will need to go through each step and click submit. This MUST be done BEFORE the first day of school. Kindergarten Families
We encourage all of our students to arrive at school as close to 8:00 AM as possible. Please note that any student who arrives after 8:15 AM will only be able to enter through the main doors, and will need to check in at the office for attendance purposes.

Food Service Information
The national, free schools meals have ended. Households must apply for free or reduced-priced meals. The free reduced meal application is also used to determine eligibility for free or reduced school fees and/or P-EBT benefits. Please complete an application if you are interested in applying for any of the above benefits. Applications can be submitted online by logging into your Parent Portal (Infinite Campus) and clicking on More-Meal benefits. You can click on the link below for more info:

Technology Information
If you are in need of assistance or require additional technology support contact the IT help desk by emailing ichelp@mayfieldschools.org
Devices for the 2022-2023 school year will be handed out to all 2nd, 5th and 9th grade students starting the week of August 15th. Chromebooks will be issued via contact-less curbside pickup at the high school. In order to expedite this process, parents will receive a device release agreement thru DocuSign. Please make sure to sign this release prior to August 10th. If you have any Chromebook login issues, please contact rmiozzi@mayfieldschools.org.

School Bus Information

Reminders:
- Bus schedules are tentative and may need to be adjusted. Your patience is appreciated.
- Students should be at their stop 10 minutes before the expected pick-up time.
- Buses cannot wait for tardy students and must remain on schedule.
- All Kindergarten students must be met at the bus stop by an adult or they will be returned to school and a parent/guardian will need to pick them up.
