March 7 - Spread the Word to End the Word
As a part of our continuing education around inclusiveness please visit the site HERE to find out more ideas that promote inclusivity for students with disabilities throughout the year.
This focuses on spreading the understanding of the impact of words, especially the word retarded", can have on individuals with cognitive disabilities and certainly aligns with Dr. Martirano's commitment to ensuring "all students, families and staff members feel valued, respected, appreciated, and involve.
Bathrooms
We are asking that bathroom door be kept open and that the para educators in grades 3 and 4 periodically check the stalls.
Please have all students sign out and write accurate times/dates. It is critical that we know where our students are when the leave the room for a variety of reasons. We know that time is precious and this is one more thing to do. Please stress to your students that our custodians Dottie and Maxine (and an occasional floater) work very hard and this is an additional, unsanitary task for staff.
Spring Staff Survey
•The survey window is March 4th-April 26th
