"Wake me up when September ends" - Green Day
Greetings Brahma Nation, Fall is upon us, even though it feels like summer. 🔆
As usual, there are multiple exciting things going on this week. The campus is hustling and bustling. There is so much to remember and see. Please check the Week Ahead below for the upcoming activities. Make sure you check the Week in Review for all the photos of the fun events and activities your children were involved in.
This Tuesday is the NEISD Band Fall Festival. It is a "pre-season" showcase of all the NEISD High School marching programs as they each prepare for competition season. Mac performs first, at 7:00 PM, which is the start time for the event. The event is at Heroes Stadium. Come out and root on our band!
Established in 2004, Student 2 Student® (S2S™) is a student program that brings military and civilian students together to welcome new students, create a positive environment, support academic excellence, and ease transitions. I am proud to announce that the Texas Education Agency awarded us the Purple Star designation. There is more information below and a link to click!
Please don't forget that Tuesday is an Early Release Day. School ends at 2:00 PM.
This week is the final week of the Fall Food Drive. Thank you to everyone who has donated food so far. If you are out grocery shopping today, think of us and grab a little extra to donate.
Tomorrow is Picture Retake Day. Retakes for 9th through 11th graders will take place in the auditorium foyer. Students can take initial or retakes, before school AND during all 3 lunch periods. If you child enrolled late or missed it, please encourage them to take their photo.
Lastly, as a reminder, campus activities at places other than campus are STILL campus activities. The same rules and expectations apply. Please respect the rules and expectations so that EVERYONE can enjoy their experience. Thank you for your attention and continued support.
