Weekly Memo
We had a great and busy week last week with parent teacher conferences and our fun dress up days for Read Across America. Please share pictures with us on our social media page or email them to bayyariinfo@sdale.org. We would love to include them in our yearbook. We still have yearbooks left over from last year too. Those are being sold in the office for $5 until we are sold out.
Don't forget registration for Kindergarten is still open. If you have a child turning 5 years old before August 1st you may fill out the forms online. If you need help please call our office.
Also, make sure to return your child's enrollment and health forms for next school year. If you need new ones, just call the office. We would be happy to reprint them and resend them with your child.
If you need anything or have any questions, please contact us at 479-750-8760 or email us at bayyariinfo@sdale.org.

Family Game Night
It is so important to spend time as a family. Life gets extremely busy and sometimes we forget the importance of spending time as a family. “Family Game Night” is a great way to spend fun time together. It also has additional benefits to it. I recently read an article titled “Bringing Back Family Game Night” at www.pbs.org. Believe it or not, according to this article, playing games with your children can have a big impact on your child’s development. I have listed numerous reasons why “Family Game Night” can be beneficial according to the article:
1. Board games can help develop gross motor skills in children.
2. Games can actually lead to better grades. There are multiple cognitive skills that have to be used during games.
3. Games can help boost your child's problem-solving skills.
4. Playing games together can strengthen a family bond.
5. Games can make for good family fun.
It sounds like “Family Game Night” could make a great weekly addition to your weekend routine. I hope you are able to enjoy some “Family Game Night” fun with your family.
Health and Wellness
Please remember to fill out the COVID form at go.sdale.org/covid if your child has been exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID or if they are positive for COVID. Also, please let Nurse Alicia or the office know.
ACT Aspire Testing Grades 3rd - 5th
Mark your calendars for our next important testing dates. All of our students in grades 3rd-5th grade will be taking our state standardized test the week of April 5-9th. All students, including blended learners will test all five days that week. Plan on sending your child to school every day that week if they are blended. If you have appointments for this week, we ask that you reschedule them to not interfere with your child's testing. Although we offer make up testing sessions when students are absent, it is always best for students to test with their peers and teacher.
