THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
April 29, 2022

Dear Wasco Families,
See the adult in this picture? For those of you who don’t recognize her, she is Mrs. Misner- OUR PE TEACHER!!! Last week, due to unfortunate circumstances, our regular Orchestra director was absent. In his absence, Mrs. Misner volunteered to help out. To me, it demonstrates the WHY of Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers do their job- and so much more. It is big work to shape a child’s heart and mind. The staff of Wasco does not work in isolation, we all pitch in to help where needed. All staff is needed to contribute and share talents, ensuring the job of educating your child is accomplished every day.
Mrs. Misner stepping up and stepping in to help is one example of the powerful models we have at Wasco school. For that I am extremely grateful and proud to be on this staff. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week Teachers!!!
Kind Regards,
Stephanie Brennan
Principal
The Spirit Club
The Wasco Spirit Club celebrated our Lunchroom Supervisors Day Friday, April 22nd. The lunchroom supervisors were greeted by the Spirit Club members with cards and smiles to celebrate their special day. They made posters for the supervisors and students across the building made heartfelt cards. These handmade cards with kind messages filled their spirits! The Spirit Club also set up bagels, coffee, and juice to honor our lunchroom supervisors. A BIG thank you to our lunchroom supervisors for providing us breakfast and lunch, supervising us at recess, and helping us have a safe and fun lunch and recess!

Ms. Rice, the band teacher, will be visiting with you soon to tell you about the band and answer questions.

Wasco PTO
Wasco PTO is doing a donation drive, and we hope you can be a part of it. We are partnering with The Forgotten Initiative- Elgin (TFI) to make Journey Bags for foster children. Most kids that come into the foster system come with only the clothes on their back. A Journey Bag is a backpack with all the necessities as a starter kit for that child.
