End of the Year Newsletter

Preschool Families,

I can’t believe it is May and the end of school is just a few weeks away. We still have a lot of fun planned so let me share some details that you will want to put on your calendar.

On behalf of the entire Preschool team, thank you for sharing your child with us this year. We have been truly blessed by them all. We hope you all have a fun and relaxing summer and we look forward to seeing those of you that will be returning next year.

If you are one of those families that will be returning, you will receive an email in July with information for the 2016/2017 school year. If you haven’t registered for next year yet, please do register soon since several of our classes are already full!

Have a blessed summer break!

Proxy Card Return - May 9th-12th

We will be collecting all proxy cards during the last week of school. Most families have just one to return, but some requested two or more for a grandparent or nanny. Please collect all of your family’s proxy cards and deposit them into one of the bins we will have by the front door. If you would be kind enough to drop them off before the 12th we will be sure to give you access to the building at drop-off and pick-up. These card are very expensive for the preschool to replace; therefore, we have to charge $10 for each un-returned proxy card. By turning your card in, you are helping us keep our costs down. Thank you in advance.

Field Day – May 11 or 12 @ 12 – 1:30pm

Please join us for Waterstone Preschool’s End of the Year Celebration, featuring water play, sponge races, parachute, corn hole, soccer, and popsicles! You/your child will attend on his/her last scheduled day of preschool. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday only Bees, see your teachers for which day to attend. Parents should sign children out and then participate alongside them as they rotate through each event together as a class.

For parents with more than one child attending, collect/sign-out your children, and then choose one class with which to participate. If you are unable to attend, let your child’s teacher know so we can plan supervision accordingly. Be sure to send a lunch to school as we will eat before the festivities begin. We are looking forward to a fun-filled last day of school!

The Waterstone PreK and JrK graduating class of 2016 proudly invites you to share in their Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 12th at 6:30pm at Waterstone. There will be a reception in the Activity Center following the ceremony.

Compassion Experience

June 24th-June 27th, Waterstone Community Church will be hosting The Compassion Experience! This free, family-friendly event features an interactive journey through the true stories of children living in developing countries like the Philippines, Kenya, Uganda and the Dominican Republic. In over 2,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space, visitors will step inside homes, markets and schools — without getting on a plane. Each child's story starts in poverty but ends in hope! Click on the link below to reserve your spot today – spaces will fill up quickly! If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Amy Wahl at amyw@waterstonechurch.org.
