GRANDPARENTS DAY POSTPONED

Our Grandparents Day (originally scheduled for Friday, October 1st) has been postponed! HASA will try to reschedule in the spring when it is hopefully safer to all gather at Mass and in our classrooms with our Grandparents and Special Friends.

Classrooms are still working on something special though for our Grandparents and Special friends, that students will be bringing home by October 1st.

Thank you for your understanding!

PLANT SHOW BLUE RIBBON WINNERS

Many students brought in the plants they had received last spring, and even plants they received in years past, to be judged by our local Parks and Recreation Department. The following students received a Blue Ribbon for the great care they have given their plants and were eligible to submit those plants in the city-wide plant show last Saturday:

SCHOOL BOARD DEVELOPMENT AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE

Do you have an interest in Development and Capitol Improvements for the school? There are many future projects that need to be discussed, identified and budgeted for. Also, you may be handy and able to help a group of people work on items at the school. Contact Bill Meyer at bmeyer@shambaugh.com if interested in helping with this committee.

TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE

Do you have a background in IT work? Are you able to fix computer issues that arise? If so, the school is looking for a volunteer to assist with IT work. We have 175 Chromebooks, 27 teacher laptops and other items that arise and could use some assistance.

Please contact Principal, Dennis Wiegmann, if you are able to assist. His contact information is:

phone: 260-483-8214

email: dennis.wiegmann@queenofangelsschool.com

TEXT MESSAGING ALERTS

If you do not already receive our Text Alerts, please text "Y" or "YES" to 67587. See instructions in English and Spanish in your email. Get all of the latest information and quick alerts and reminders.

TEACHER PAGES

In the past, we have had teachers put stars on their windows that grandparents or parents could take to make purchases for much-needed classroom materials. This year, we are instead creating teacher pages on our website, where there will be a link to the teacher's wish lists.

Their page will also have a spot for their newsletters and other important links. Please go to our website click on Academics + Classroom/Teacher Links to see how you can help your children's teachers with classroom supplies. Please be patient, some are still getting their information gathered to put on these pages!

NOTE: HASA may also be creating a sign-up genius for parents to sign-up for these as well as to volunteer to help with future events.
