This Week in Advisory!
Students will also view the attached TED talk on procrastination and discuss positive study habits as they begin to gear up with their academic load this semester.
The rest of the week in Advisory will focus on opportunities for team building within the classroom and time to check in with each other! It is important that our Advisory students develop comfort within their classrooms before we begin our Advisory leadership curriculum!
Attention Class of 2023!
Our Travis Belles are hard at work every morning before school perfecting those routines for the Friday Night Lights!
Football kicked off with a scrimmage last week! Their first game is Friday vs Hightower at Freedom Field in Alvin! Come out and support!
Mrs. Dohnalik and Mrs. Godwin's Floral Design students performed Random Acts of Kindness by delivering these cute goodies to some of our Tiger Staffulty!
Morning Arrival to School!
Traffic will be very congested around THS in the morning, particularly early in the school year. Please plan ahead and allow yourself plenty of time to arrive safely. Tardies have begun and we continue to have large numbers of students arriving late to first period.
Student drivers will park in the student parking lot only. It is located in the front of the building, and you must have a valid parking permit to park. Students without a valid parking permit at this point are now subject to penalties.
At this time, only juniors and seniors may purchase parking permits. The parking application is located on the THS website.
Parents should drop off students in the front circle drive located in the front of the building. When exiting the parent drive, cars must turn right on Harlem towards West Airport.
Parents are not allowed to drop off students in the student parking lot nor the Children's Lighthouse parking lot.
Thank you in advance for adhering to the above and helping us keep our Tigers safe!
Parents are allowed to drop students off on the bus ramp after 7:10.
Tiger Code of Conduct
Our Tiger Code of Conduct is very simple! We ask that all Tigers adhere to these 4 components of our Tiger Code of Conduct:
1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Safe
4. Be Ready to Learn
All Tigers have seen the Power Points attached below to review each piece of our Tiger Code of Conduct and are expected to comply with all of our Tiger expectations. Please contact your student's alpha split administrator if you have any questions!
It's Time To Update Your Student's Information!
At this time only 50% of our parents have completed this very important task! We must hit 100%! Please take care of this ASAP. You will not have access to your child's schedule on Skyward Family Access until these forms have been completed!
The window for student verification is now open for all new and returning FBISD students. Parents must verify the contact and emergency information for all students each year! Through Family Access, parents can verify their student’s information and learn more about District resources including Child Nutrition and Extended Learning. Parents without Family Access accounts will need to contact their child’s campus for assistance.
Open House - September 4th
Spirit Days!!!
In addition to these spirit days that will last all year long, different weeks and seasons will have their own unique theme days as well. Throughout football season, we have "Theme Day Thursdays" where students are encouraged to dress in accordance with various themes to show support for our Tigers! The photo below is all of our Theme Day Thursdays for this fall as well as our game day themes for all games that do not fall on Thursdays! Friday games will always be RED OUT! And Thursday games will always match the Theme Day Thursday! Saturday games will vary throughout the season!
