Big Lake Lions Recreation Center.

We recommend helmets for the kids (bike, hockey, or any kind to protect their head) and snow gear as the ice rink is not heated. Heavy socks are preferred to keep your feet warm and to avoid blisters. Cocoa, coffee and candy will be for sale. Also, some students are due for immunizations and these notices will also be coming home. Over spring break is an ideal time to get these immunizations completed, and follow up on vision and dental referrals.

Please make sure each day that students have a warm coat, snow pants, snow boots, a hat, and gloves or mittens. Thank you for your continued attention to this.
LOST & FOUND
NAEP Test Information
NAEP info
Big Lake Elementary’s 4th graders have been chosen to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) assessment on March 2, 2017. This assessment is the tool that our Nation uses to collect information regarding the academic progress of the Nation’s school system. Each student is randomly assigned either a math or reading assessment and the results are only used for informational purposes. These results are not used for grading your child’s ability in any such way. In fact our school or district does not even view any of the test questions or results. Students are encouraged to do their very best. Like the administration of the state tests we ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the test through specific protocols. A group of testers will come to our school to administer this test to ensure that all testing protocols are followed. More information about the test is provided for parents through the following link, https://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/parents/ . If you have any additional questions or concerns about this test please feel free to contact Mrs. Lovelace at 892-9746.
