Children in After School (CIA)
CIA programming for face-to-face students will start on Monday, October 12, 2020. The program will be staffed by district certified teachers and paraprofessionals. We will offer our academic and enrichment programming according to the district calendar with homework and academic enrichment, STEM challenges, and many engaging activities for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Registration can be completed online at www.aliefisd.net/CIA .
The following campuses are tuition based: Alexander, Boone, Cummings, Heflin, Kennedy, Liestman, Mahanay, Martin, Miller, Outley, Smith, and Youens. The program will be face-to-face only. Financial assistance will not be available this school year.
The following campuses have grant-funded programs which are free to families: Albright, Chambers, Chancellor, Holub, Horn, Klentzman, Olle, and Owens. In addition to face-to-face, virtual programming will continue to occur for virtual students at these campuses only. Site Coordinators are available to assist families.
Providing a safe environment for our students is our top priority. CIA will follow all Alief ISD guidance on operations, campus regular school day practices, and the CDC’s recommended guidelines regarding health and safety. In addition to the Health and Safety Plan located at https://www.aliefisd.net/healthplan , CIA staff will communicate with principals on updates that we have put in place to ensure students and staff are as safe as possible during afterschool hours. (See attached CIA Face-to-Face updates.)
If you have any additional questions, please email afterschoolprogram@aliefisd.net or call 281-988-3111.
