Dear Families:
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! We are so excited to partner with you and your child this school year.
Manitou Springs Elementary School is turning 100 and we are celebrating at our Back to School/Meet Your Teacher, on August 18, 3-5pm. Visit your child's classroom and then join us for an outdoor celebration with live music together with our community partners.
The first day of school for grades 1-5 is August 19th! Kindergartners have a staggered, "gentle" start, and the first full day of school for kindergarten only is August 24th. Preschool begins on August 31st with a preschool open house on August 29th.

All families will receive an email next week with your child's teacher and additional school information. Check out our grade level supply list.
On behalf of the entire team at Manitou Springs Elementary School and Manitou Springs School District, we are excited to serve you and your child. This school year you will see some new faces, a lot of familiar faces, a new math curriculum, Eureka Squared, and a dedicated team of professionals ready to grow with you.

This upcoming school year we will offer childcare support on Late Start Wednesdays for families in need. Due to limited resources and staff, this will be available only to those that cannot find alternative childcare options. If you require childcare on Late Start Wednesdays, please complete this form as childcare does require administrative approval.
These mornings will be structured differently and provide time and space for completing homework/ studying. Breakfast will be served until 8:00am, however, due to changes in the federal funding, we can no longer offer free breakfast. MSES Preschool Info:
The Manitou Springs Preschool Program is now accepting applications for children residing in Manitou Springs between the ages of 3-5 years old. Our program's foundation is built on relationships and social emotional development through play. We are an inclusive program that serves all students and have tuition-free options. You can apply on the district website.
