M.M.S. News & Notes
April 29, 2022
From the Principal
M.M.S. Parents and Guardians,
Greetings! Things continue to move forward at MMS. This past week the kids did an exceptional job giving 100% effort taking the PSSA ELA exams and navigating through some modified schedules. Next week we will be administering the math sections to all students along with science for 8th grade only. Please encourage your kids to get to bed at a reasonable time, eat breakfast each morning and continue to give their best effort each day. That's all we can ask of any of them.
Please take a few moments to read some information below that includes some important information, upcoming events and general reminders. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's grade level counselor and/or Assistance Principal with any questions. Have a wonderful weekend and take care.
Joel Yohn, Principal

From the School Nurse
6th Graders:
Students need a physical exam in 6th grade. Two vaccines (Tdap and Menactra) required for entry into 7th grade are typically given at this visit. Please send in a copy of your child’s 6th grade physical and updated immunizations to the school nurse as soon as possible. If you have not submitted a physical exam, our school district physician will be here in May to do physicals if your child does not have their own physician. Please contact the nurse if you would like your child to see the school physician.
7th Graders:
Students need a dental exam in 7th grade. Please forward a copy of your student’s 7th grade dental exam to the school nurse.
If you have any questions or concerns about your student’s health, please contact Mrs. Kessler (717) 691-2454 or Mrs. Kresge (717) 691-2453). Thank you for helping us to keep everyone safe and healthy.
