HOMECOMING PARADE 2015

The All Stars Cheerleaders, Kiest staff, and parents participated in the Bryan Adams Homecoming Parade last Saturday. Kudos to all the staff members who helped plan this event and those in attendance: Ms. Trejo, Ms. Ramirez, Ms. Estrada, Ms. Betts, Ms. Marquez, Ms. Castro, Ms. Jackson, and Ms. Barragan. Big thanks to Ms. Castro and her husband for lending us the truck to participate in the parade. Thanks to all the staff members who donated snacks for the cheerleaders and the candy for the crowd. It was truly a memorable experience for our scholars who attended.

Staying the Course of Data Driven Instruction

As we approach the end of this six weeks, the next components in the DDI process are the assessments and analysis. All K-2 teachers have I-SIP results and are already working with that data to tier the students. In addition, teachers have done predictions on the confidence level of each standards to be assessed in Math, Science, and Writing. This week all 3-5 teachers will be giving their common assessment and score on All in Learning. A schedule of the data meetings will be send by email on Sunday. During the data meetings, teachers will be able to analyze the results, spiral standards that require additional instructional time, review instructional calendar, and strengthen alignment for next six weeks.
