What are gator tickets? What is ticket drawing Friday? What is Chomputation?
These are given by any staff member to a student that does something GREAT. Weekly, all tickets are turned in to the grade level ticket buckets. I draw 1 student name out of our bucket every week before I turn our tickets in. That student gets to pick from our class prizes.
Ticket Drawing Friday
No, not "Chicken Falling Friday", which is what one of our students thought the big kids said on the announcements. Two tickets are drawn out of the grade level buckets each Friday. Those kids get a prize sack (not a prize Zach--as another student thought he heard on the announcements).
What is Chomputation?
This is a picture of some kids doing their first Chomputation. Chomputation is South Creek's math fluency program (I used to call them timed math tests when I was in school). Every Tuesday is Chomputation day! We love Chomputation, and do a cheer every Tuesday with Charlie (stuffed alligator) on the announcements. Our first Chomputation test was given last Tuesday. Tests will come home on Wednesday after I grade them. Please make sure to read the letter attached to the test to understand how they are graded.
