Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1454 in Vinci, Italy. He died on May 2, 1519 in Amboise, France. Leonardo Da Vinci spent most of his life in Florence, Italy. Leonardo Da Vinci went to school to become a painter and an engineer. As Leonardo grew up he was a talented child. He lived with his father, Serpiero Da Vinci. His father was a well known Notary in Florence, therefore he was well off as a child growing up. Leonardo was an illegitimate child and for that reason an only child until he was in his 20’s. He was a said to be good looking, to have great strength and also, to have been spoiled. This led to how he was as an artist because he would have trouble finishing projects. Leonardo Da Vinci worked on paintings, sculptures, and architecture. He made the Mona Lisa and the Adorations of the Magi. Some of Leonardo’s patrons were Cesare Borgia, Giuliano de’ Medici, Isabella d’este, King Francis I.
