We're Headed to Regionals!
We are so excited and proud that our Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team has advanced to Wallace State Community College for the Region tournament! They will play Bessemer City tomorrow at 10:30am.
Absences will be excused for a full day if the ticket stub is returned to the attendance office on Wednesday, February 19. The ticket should have the student’s name printed on the back side of the ticket. Each ticket should be placed in the designated box in the attendance office first thing Wednesday morning.
Thanks to the boys' basketball team, the volleyball team and TOC for providing free pep buses for the students! They will leave the school at 8:30 am. Students that have attendance or discipline issues will not be considered for riding the pep bus. Students that bring a note from their parents giving them permission to ride the bus will reserve a seat. We will have bus sign ups during lunch on Monday. The bus will return by 3:00 p.m. so if your child needs to ride the regular bus home then they will be able to do so. Roll will be taken at departure and again prior to departure from Wallace State. Please remind your child that all school rules will apply when they are riding the bus and/or attending the game. The cost of admission to the basketball game will be the responsibility of the student. Admission to the basketball game will be $8.00. The students will also need to bring money to eat lunch and snacks for the day.
We look forward to seeing The Wallace State Coliseum full Tuesday with the Trojan Nation fans!!!! Go Trojans!

Prom Attire Guidelines
While we understand that formal dress does not necessarily meet the day to day dress code for schools, please also recognize that there is inappropriate behavior and dress that can compromise the integrity of our prom if we are not purposeful in our preparation. Here are some general guidelines to help you and your child make a good decision. We don't anticipate any problems because our students have a sense of pride about themselves and respect for our school that carries over into everything they do!
Girls Dress Code:
1. Excessive cleavage is not allowed.
2. Dress may be backless as long as it is not cut below the waist.
3. Navel may not be exposed.
4. No pinning will be allowed as an alteration for a dress if, without the pinning, the dress does not meet dress code.
5. Dress should not be excessively short or pulled up when dancing.
Boys Dress Code:
1. Suits or tuxedos should be worn.
2. Shirts must be buttoned up to the second button from the collar.
3. Pants should fit properly on the hip and not sag below the waistline.
