Town Hall Forum Coming October 17 at Zemmer
Lapeer Community Schools will host a town hall forum on the 2019 School Bond Proposal at 6 p.m. on October 17, 2019, at the Zemmer 8-9 Campus.
The forum is open to the public. This is a great opportunity to learn about the proposal that will appear on the November 5th ballot and to ask questions of Superintendent Matt Wandrie.
For more information on the bond, visit the District website at LapeerSchools.org. To register to vote or to receive an absentee ballot, visit Michigan.gov/sos.
Absentee Ballots Go Out September 21: Request Yours Today!
Did you know that, due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absentee voter ballot without providing a reason? You no longer have to drive to your voting precinct and stand in line in order for your vote to be counted.
That means, for the November 5, 2019, school bond election, any registered voter can vote in person or by absentee ballot, which will be made available by September 21. Absentee ballot requests must be received by your clerk no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 1. If you’re already registered at your current address, you can pick up an absent voter ballot in person at your clerk’s office anytime up to 4 p.m. on the day prior to the election.
Once you have received your absentee ballot, you have until 8 p.m. on election day to return it to the clerk's office. Your ballot will not be counted unless your signature is on the return envelope and matches your signature on file.
For more information on the 2019 School Bond, visit LapeerSchools.org and click the graphic on the main page. You can also download the absentee voter application.

Several times throughout the year, the building principal and the Grant Supervisor get together to do a “crate review”. Together, they have a checklist of documentation that needs to be collected each year. This includes communication with families regarding student progress and updates to families about curriculum, classroom newsletters, ways that the school is coordinating with community partners, updated MTSS students lists, PLC notes, intervention documentation, among other things.
