Join us for a day filled with fun, fibre and fellowship

Have Fun and Help a Great Cause!

Come for a day of play and benefit the Garden! In this nuno felting workshop, you will make a scarf using wool, silk, novelty yarn and bits of sparkle to create a one-of-a-kind wearable work of art for yourself or as a special gift.

All proceeds will benefit the Community Garden at the Salt Spring Island Community Church. Materials are included. The minimum suggested donation for this workshop is $55 (normally a $120 value).

You are welcome to invite a friend.

Hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

If you are interested in signing up, please look for the sign-up sheet at the Church, or contact Judy Dios at or 250.221.0944.

What to Bring: If you have a plastic apron to protect your clothes while wet-felting, please bring it. (The studio has several which may be borrowed/shared.) Fabric scissors or scissors sharp enough to snip fabric.

Food: Light refreshments are provided, as well as water, coffee and tea. Bring a lunch. A refrigerator, Vitamix blender and microwave are available for your use.

What to Wear: Old clothing and shoes. You may get a little wet. Sometimes the runoff water has a very slight amount of dye in it. This is dye is supposed to wash out of clothing made from plant fibres and adhere to silk, wool and nylon only, but there is no guarantee it won't stain your favourite jeans or sweater!

You will be standing on a hard floor so wear comfortable shoes with plenty of cushioning or bring an anti-fatigue mat.
